News Desk: This year's Ekushey Padak will be given next Saturday (February 20). The medal handing ceremony will be held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 11 am on the same day. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be virtually attached as the chief guest on the occasion.

This was stated in an official information statement on Wednesday (February 18). Earlier, the names of the Ekushey Padak recipients of 4 February 2021 were announced. This year Ekushey Padak is being given to 21 eminent citizens for their contribution in various fields.

This year, three in the language movement, three in the liberation war category, seven in the arts, three in the language and literature, one in journalism, education, research and economics will be awarded the Ekushey Padak.
