News Desk: State status has been given to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the day of birth and death of 12 Rabiul Awal. A notification to this effect was issued on Monday (February 15) by the Cabinet Division signed by Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam.
It has been said that the national flag will be hoisted in all government and private buildings and office premises of Bangladesh on the day of holy Eid Miladunnabi. Besides, national flags will be hoisted at foreign diplomatic missions and embassies.
It has also been mentioned in the notification that this instruction will be effective immediately. Incidentally, the day of birth and death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) 12 Rabiul Awwal is a holy day for Muslims. This day is celebrated by the Muslims as the holy Eid Miladunnabi (peace be upon him).
