News Desk: The Indian government has sent a letter to WhatsApp chief Will Cathcart asking about the new policy. The letter called on Indian users to respect information privacy and data security.

The country has also called for a move away from new privacy policies for Indian users. At the beginning of the year, WhatsApp sent a notification to the users informing them that WhatsApp is going to change the privacy policy. If you want to use the updated version of the app from February 8, everyone has to click on the agree and accept option. If you do not click on the option, the account will be deleted.

Using the updated version, user information may be shared with other platforms of the organization. Since knowing this, the tendency to leave WhatsApp and use other apps has increased in different countries of the world including India. Since then, the Indian government has been keeping a close eye on the matter. In this context, the country's government sent a letter to the head of WhatsApp.

India has asked WhatsApp in detail for more details on data sharing protocols and business messages. WhatsApp wants to know the differences between WhatsApp's privacy policy in India and other countries, including details of data protection policy, data protection policy, cyber-security policy, privacy policy and encryption policy.

Last week, WhatsApp announced its withdrawal from the new privacy policy in the face of pressure. They will implement the new policy experimentally. If you do not follow the conditions of the updated version, there will be no fear of account deletion. Note that based on user feedback, the new privacy policy has been decided to take effect from May 15.
