This time TikTok has removed 76 lakh videos from Bangladesh

Information Technology Desk:  Short video platform TikTok has removed 75 lakh 99 thousand 349 videos of Bangladeshi users. These videos have been deleted for violating community guidelines in the fourth quarter of 2023. This information is known from TikTok's recently published community guidelines enforcement report. 

Community Guidelines Enforcement Report The report is based on the period of the fourth quarter of 2023 (October-December 2023). The report highlights TikTok's stance on preventing the spread of misinformation and maintaining online safety. TikTok is committed to gaining the trust of platform users and communities and ensuring a safe environment for them. The importance of which is highlighted by this report of TikTok.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, TikTok removed a total of 176461963 videos from the platform worldwide for violating community guidelines. That's about 1.0 percent of all videos uploaded to the platform. Of these, 12.83 million 584 videos were automatically removed. On the other hand, 80 lakh 38 thousand 106 videos were scrutinized and put back on the platform.

In addition to upholding community guidelines, TikTok actively monitors spam accounts and related content. At the same time steps are taken to close automatically generated spam accounts.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, 95.3 percent of the videos removed in Bangladesh were removed within a single day. The video removal rate for this quarter was 99.5 percent. In addition, TikTok has removed accounts of under 13 platform users suspected of being users and for the safety of young people. A total of 1 crore 98 lakh 48 thousand 855 such accounts have been removed worldwide.
