Coronavirus: 48 more dead, 2275 newly identified

News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 46 more people have died due to coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country. Among them 36 are males and 10 are females. Forty-five people died at the hospital and one at home. The death toll from the virus rose to 3,907. In the last 24 hours, 10595 samples were collected and 11,356 samples were tested in 91 corona detection RT-PCR laboratories for coronavirus detection.

At the same time, another 2,265 new cases of coronavirus have been identified. As a result, the total number of identified patients stood at two lakh 92 thousand 625 people. The total number of sample tests stood at 14 lakh 31 thousand 855 people.

This information was given in a press release on coronavirus signed by Nasima Sultana. The press release further said that 2,952 more people have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of healthy patients stood at one lakh 75 thousand 567 people.

Compared to the sample test in the last 24 hours, the patient identification rate is 19.95 percent. So far, the patient identification rate is 20.44 percent compared to the sample test. The recovery rate is 60 percent and the death rate is 1.34 percent compared to the patient identified.

Of the 3,907 deaths in Corona so far, 3,082 were men (78.78 percent) and 825 were women (21.12 percent). According to the age-based analysis, of the 46 people who died in Corona in the last 24 hours, one was in his thirties, six in his forties, six in his fifties and 33 in his sixties.

According to the department-wise statistics, out of 46 people killed in Corona in the last 24 hours, 27 were in Dhaka division, five in Chittagong division, eight in Rajshahi division, one in Khulna division, two in Barisal division, two in Sylhet division and one in Rangpur division.
