Bangladeshi movie 'Nirban' wins award at Moscow Film Festival

Entertainment Desk:  Bangladeshi movie 'Nirban' competed in the 46th Moscow International Film Festival. The film won the Special Jury Award at the festival. The award was accepted by the director of the movie Asif Islam.

The festival, which started on April 19, concluded on April 26. The elated producer received the award there. In a message sent to his mobile phone, he said, this award is one of the best achievements of my life. 

Out of thousands of films from around the world, only 11 films made it to the official selection. Among those movies, our movie won the Special Jury Award.

The producer was in a frenzy after receiving the award. Informing that, he said, I was shocked after the name of our movie was announced. I was still in a daze after receiving the award. This achievement has given us a lot. 

The builder left for Dhaka from Russia on Saturday. The producer is returning to Bangladesh after an eight-day tour. 'Nirban' producer Asif Islam and actress Priyam Archi were there from the inaugural event of the festival. On the first day of the festival, the producer-actress walked the red carpet. Later they faced the journalists.

Highlighting that experience, Asif said, it is a great experience for us. I am happy and proud to come to such a big festival with Bangladesh. Not only that, it is also a pleasure that our film will compete with films from such big countries. 

The film was screened at the festival on April 22. The movie was widely appreciated by the audience. Meanwhile, on the news of receiving the award, movie actress Priyam Archi said, I am very happy. The hard work we put behind Nirvana is worth it! 

Asif produced 'Nirban' based on the story and screenplay of Anwar Hossain Hossain. Fatema Tuz Zohra, Imran Mahathi and others also acted in the movie. 

Earlier Yuvraj Shamim's 'Adeem' was selected and screened at the festival in the 44th edition of the festival and Nurul Alam Atiq's 'Guava Fragrance' in the 45th edition.
