District Representative: The 28th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair has been held at the permanent pavilion of the trade fair at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center, Sector 4, Purbachal Uptown, Rupganj, near Dhaka. On the 7th day of the fair, there was a huge crowd of visitors and buyers. This makes the traders happy as well as the visitors and customers.

From 12 o'clock on Saturday (January 27), the fair was crowded with the arrival of visitors and buyers. EPB authorities have arranged this year's event more grandly than last year. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair on January 21. Although the number of visitors was not that large during the opening of the fair, the gathering of visitors and buyers was quite good from Friday.

However, visitors and shoppers have suffered due to traffic jams on the Asian Highway Bypass Road. If the traffic jam is not completely resolved, the crowd will be less and the traders will face losses. And that's why the traders call on the administration to keep the Asian Highway Bypass road free of traffic jams. The police administration is working tirelessly to resolve the traffic jam. For the past few days, cold current is flowing in the country. On the 7th day, as the severity of the winter subsided, a lot of relief returned among the shoppers and visitors. Because of this, the sales of traders have also increased to a large extent. However, with the increase in the number of visitors to the fair, the traffic congestion has increased. About 8 km of traffic congestion was seen on the Asian Highway Bypass road. Despite the traffic jam, visitors are coming to the fair.

According to EBP sources, a total of 331 shops were allocated in the 27th edition of the trade fair last year, but this year a total of 330 shops were allocated. Among which there are 18 pavilions in total. Traders from at least 12 countries including India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Turkey have participated in this fair. In this event, the main gate of the trade fair has been made in the pattern of metro rail. In this event, the size of the fair has been increased a lot. Export Development Bureau EPB is working hard to make the 28th edition of the trade fair a success. The entry fee for the fair is Tk 50 for children and Tk 25. Entry is free for physically challenged and freedom fighters. CC cameras have been installed in every part of the fair for the sake of security.

On the ground, it is known that on the 7th day of the Dhaka International Fair, a large number of visitors and buyers started coming to the fair from noon on Friday. In the fair stalls there is a magnificent atmosphere with the colorful glow of red, blue, yellow, green lights. The stalls are using different methods to attract the customers through decoration. Especially the trusted name of local products Walton's stalls have noticed more traffic of customers. The employees of the stalls in the fair are trying to attract the buyers by telling about their products through the sound system.

Being a public holiday, the fair grounds were packed with visitors. This makes the fair complete. Shops selling winter clothes, household goods and electronics items have seen the largest number of visitors at the fair. Among the electronics items, Walton is the most trusted by the buyers. Apart from this, a children's park has been arranged for the first time in the fair. The children's park has various rides including flipper, waterbuckle, swing, boat, train. Where parents are enjoying their children by taking them on different rides in the children's park. However, the visitors complain that the ticket price of the children's park ride is relatively high.

Rakib, a furniture trader, said, "We have not been able to sell any furniture in the last 6 days. We have been waiting for the holidays for so long. Finally our wait is over. The trade fair has started gathering. I have sold several furniture including tables, chairs, cots since morning.

Shanta Islam, a hopeful visitor to the fair from Munshiganj's Ghazaria, said, "I look forward to coming to the trade fair every year. I came again. I bought various cosmetics. I also saw a Walton smart television. I like it very much. I will take my husband with me to buy it tomorrow. But at the fair." While coming, the 10-minute journey took 1 hour due to the traffic jam on the bypass road. I don't know how long I have to sit on the road on the way home. But all in all, this year's trade fair was good.
