Police operation to stop the night hangout of young people of rising age in Kurigram

Kurigram Correspondent:  An awareness drive has been conducted by the district police to stop the nightly negative chatter, drug gangs and mobile addiction among the youth of the rising age in Kurigram. In all the police stations of Kurigram district, evening joint preventive patrols are conducted under the leadership of the police with the relevant Upazila Social Service Officers, Probation Officers and others.

At this time, in various school grounds, intersections, open fields, parks, stations, tea shops of the area, teenagers of the rising age group spoke to their parents while conducting awareness campaigns to stop night roaming, drugs, gambling, extremism, gang culture online addiction, pornography, cybercrime. He requested the respected citizens and parents of the society to secure the future of their children. In order to ensure the best interests of children and young people, this initiative will continue to focus on alternatives to the formal judicial process. 

During the operation, around 30 students from Kurigram Sadar, Ulipur, Rajarhat, Dhushmara, Phulbari were arrested and sent home through their parents.
