Bogra district police stood by poor Haider who lost his easy bike

Bogra representative : 47-year-old Haider Ali of Bogra bought an easy bike for Tk 160,000 on Sunday of last week by selling land and taking a loan in search of happiness after leaving his job of selling tea. But happiness did not catch Haider! After 4 days, Hyder's only means of livelihood, the Easybike, was stolen from Satmatha Gohail Road in the city. After the theft of the easy bike last Thursday morning, the video of Hyder's pathetic cry reached millions of people thanks to various media and social media. Bogra District Superintendent of Police Sudip Chakraborty also noticed.

Thinking that Haider's family is suffering because of the loss of the only source of income, SP Sudip Chakraborty has come forward with humanitarian assistance by instructing the members of Sadar Police Station and District Intelligence Branch to rescue the easy bike. Haider was called to Bogra Police Superintendent's office at around 4:30 pm on Saturday afternoon and promised to recover his stolen easybike as soon as possible, and cash and food items were handed over to him for these few days on behalf of the district police. Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Snigdh Akhtar handed over cash and rice, dal, oil, flour, salt, potatoes and daily necessities to Haider on behalf of the Superintendent of Police.

Meanwhile, the district police officer said that Hyder's easy bike was stolen from Gohail Road on Thursday. His humanitarian appeal came to the attention of the police after the news of the incident was published in the media. For this, Superintendent of Police Sudip Chakraborty initially gave Haider 10,000 cash and food items. A case has been registered at Bogra Sadar police station on Saturday regarding this theft. Meanwhile, work is going on to identify the criminals by looking at the CCTV footage. Besides Thana Police, the District Detective Police is working to rescue the Easybike with importance. Police will work on all humanitarian appeals of Haider.

Also, his easy bike will be recovered soon and those involved will be arrested. At this time, Haider Ali told the media, 'Grateful for the way the police stood by him in his bad times. His wife has been ill since the theft of the Easybike. However, the police assured him that they will recover the easy bike. He said that the help they have given him, he can live with his family for the time being, which is a huge benefit. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Abdur Rashid and Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Motahar Hossain, Inspector (Investigation) of Bogra Sadar Police Station Md. Shahinuzzaman were present while providing humanitarian assistance to Haider.

It is to be noted that earlier on last Thursday around 11 am, the traffic police took off the seat of Haider Ali's easy bike and seized it as he entered Satmatha in the city. Later, leaving the easy bike at Gohail Road in the city, he went to the traffic police box to get rid of the seat. Haider came back and saw that he didn't have his easy bike. After searching in various places, the Easybike was not found. Haider could not stop crying after losing his only source of livelihood. This easybike was the only source of livelihood for the asthmatic Haider's family of three.
