Imran Khan has called on Bill Gates to provide humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan

International Desk: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on Microsoft co-founder and billionaire social activist Bill Gates to consider providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan's poverty-stricken people.

In a telephone conversation with Bill Gates on Tuesday (October 5th), he said more than half of the people in war-torn Afghanistan live below the poverty line. Therefore, the country urgently needs financial assistance.

According to Imran Khan's office, the two leaders expressed concern over the current health system in Afghanistan. They also discussed the polio epidemics in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

They hope to eradicate infectious diseases from both countries. They also discussed the resumption of the polio campaign in Afghanistan. So that Pakistan's recent achievements in eradicating poliovirus are protected.
