ECNEC approves eight projects worth Tk 5,441 crore

News Desk: Eight projects have been approved in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC). When the projects were presented for approval at the ECNEC meeting on Tuesday, the Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Sheikh Hasina approved them.

After the ECNEC meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan gave the information in a video conference and live press conference. He said the total cost of the projects has been estimated at Tk 5,441.63 crore. Of this, Tk 3,333 crore will be spent from government funds, Tk 2,061 crore from project loans and Tk 47 crore from the company's own funds.

The Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting, which was connected to the NEC conference room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar via video conference from Ganobhaban at 10:30 am, officials said. On the other hand, concerned ministers and secretaries were present in the NEC conference room.
