8 more killed in Chittagong corona, 298 identified

News Desk: Eight more people have died in Chittagong in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus infection. The total death toll in the district stood at one thousand 17 people. At the same time, 298 more people were identified as Corona. Through this, the total number of identities in the district stood at 97,133.

The information came from a report released by the Chittagong Civil Surgeon's Office on Sunday (August 22nd) morning.

Dr. Civil Surgeon. Rabbi Sheikh Fazle said that in the last 24 hours, samples of 1,972 people were tested in different labs of Chittagong and coronavirus was detected in the bodies of 298 people. Of these, 153 are from the city and 145 from the upazila.

He added that in the last 24 hours, 81 people were diagnosed with corona in Chittagong University Lab, 63 in Fauzdarhat BITID Lab, 42 in Chittagong Medical College Lab, 56 in Chittagong Veterinary University Lab and 18 in Chevron Hospital Lab.

At the same time, coronary infections were detected in 16 people in Chittagong Maternal and Child Hospital Lab, five in General Hospital RTRL Lab, six in Medical Center Hospital Lab, six in Epic Healthcare Lab and 23 in antigen test.
