3 arrested with adulterated baby food in Hazaribagh of the capital

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Detective Lalbagh Division has arrested three people in connection with the recovery of adulterated baby food (chocolate) in the capital's Hazaribagh.

They were arrested in a raid on a house in Bhagalpur Lane area of ​​the police station around 3:15 pm on Friday (August 19). The arrested are- Md. Alam, Md. Parvez and Md. Nasir.

At this time, they have 450 pieces of 'OK Pulse Center Field Candy', four thousand pieces of 'OK Coffee Candy', 600 pieces of OK Milk Candy Lozenge, 600 pieces of 'OK Lizzie Candy', 600 pieces of 'OK Mango Candy' and 600 pieces. Mikey Candy 'was rescued.

Detective Lalbagh Assistant Commissioner of Police. Fazlur Rahman said they were arrested on charges of making chemical baby food (chocolate) without legal documents, professional chemists and laboratories.

He further said that the detainees said in the preliminary interrogation that they used to make these adulterated baby food (chocolates) in Hazaribagh area under various names which were illegally chemical and harmful to public health and sold them all over the country including Dhaka metropolis. He said a case has been filed against them under the Special Powers Act at Hazaribagh police station.
