News Desk: A fire broke out on the third floor of a six-storey building in the Banani Chairman Bari area of the capital. 15 units of fire service are working to control the fire.

Attempts to bring the fire under control started at 9:30 am but it has not been brought under control yet. Firefighters said they were speeding to put out the blaze due to heavy smoke.

Speaking to them, it is learned that there is a godown of an organization called Amicon on the third floor of the building where the fire broke out. In that godown, various gift items including sports crests were made. These were mainly made of metal. And these metals contain a lot of chemicals. Which has caused terrible smoke. This smoke has also spread around.

They fear that it may take some time for the fire to come under control as the amount of metal inside is high.

Rozina Begum, duty officer of the fire service, said, "We now have 15 units working to control the fire." There is a lot of smoke inside. Because of this the workers are getting a lot of speed. Due to excess smoke, water is not being supplied properly in many places.

No casualties have been reported so far in the blaze. No one has confirmed whether anyone is trapped inside.
