Bangladesh Juba Shakti has organized a four-point demand for employment and unemployment allowance for unemployed youths who have lost their jobs due to coronavirus situation.

The rally was held in front of the National Press Club on Friday (August 20).

Four demands were made from the human chain. They are-

1. Those who want to create self-employment among the unemployed youth who have lost their jobs and returned abroad during the coronation period should be given easy interest free loans.

2. Young people who want to go abroad have to be sent abroad at the government's expense. After leaving, you have to make arrangements to pay in installments.

3. Unemployed youths who want to work in government, semi-government, autonomous organizations need to make arrangements for quick recruitment to vacant posts. In this case, priority should be given to those who have been fired during the coronation period.

4. The age limit for applying for the job should be 35. The application fee has to be waived and the unemployment allowance has to be paid till the job is found.

Hanif, chief adviser of the youth wing of the human chain, said, "The unemployment problem in Bangladesh has become epidemic. That problem has been exacerbated by the Corona epidemic. At present there are only 84 lakh educated unemployed in the country. In addition, about 40 million young people who have been trained, fired and returned abroad are living a life of unemployment. If our four-point demand is met, the problems of the youth of the country will be alleviated a lot. '

He added that Bangladesh's GDP has been growing steadily over the past decade. The size of the budget has increased day by day. But in that proportion the country has not invested enough to produce or create employment.

In his speech, Ziaur Rahman, President of the Youth Force, said, "During the Corona period, the government announced special incentives for businessmen in various sectors of the country, but no incentives were announced for the helpless unemployed youth."

Iqbal Amin also spoke at the rally. Abdur Razzak, Sheikh Nasir Uddin, Alam Chowdhury, Mir Mozammel Hossain Milon, Nayan Ahmed, Md. Shamsuddin, Abdul Momin, Md. Kauchar etc.
