Music director Farid Ahmed is no more

Entertainment desk: This time Farid Ahmed, one of the music directors of the country has passed away. After fighting coronavirus for 20 days in a row, he returned to the country. On Tuesday (April 13) at around 9:30 am, the doctors on duty declared him dead (Inna Lillahi ... Rajyun).

The news was confirmed by lyricist Farida Farhana, a close associate of Farid Ahmed's family. Incidentally, the composer had been on life support in the ICU of Square Hospital in the capital since April 11. Earlier, in the last week of March, Farid Ahmed received positive results from his wife Corona. When his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital in the capital on the night of March 25.

Meanwhile, his wife Shiuli Akter's condition is good but Farid Ahmed's has not improved much. Doctors said the coronavirus had damaged 80 percent of his lungs. There were complications related to diabetes. Note that Farid Ahmed is the composer of many timeless songs.

He was first acclaimed for his song 'I am like a desert without you' written by Liton Adhikari Rintu and sung by Kumar Biswajit. Since then he has created innumerable songs.

He has also contributed a lot as an ambient musician for drama and cinema. Featured songs composed by Farid Ahmed include 'Etc', the title song of the magazine 'Keu Ke Abiram Chupi', Kumar Biswajit's 'I am like a desert without you', 'Monerai Rag Anurag', Runa Layla's 'Ferrari Siren', Runa Layla and Sabina Yasmeen.

'Dalchhut Prajapati', Channel I's 'Aaj Janmadin', 'Khude Gaanraj', 'Hridaye Mati O Manush', Best Voice Competition Theme Song, Rezwana Chowdhury Bonya's 'Tumi Amar Jibane Gahine', etc. In 2016, Farid Ahmed received the National Film Award for Music Director. He won the award for conducting music in the movie 'Tumi Robe Nirbe'.
