Rabindra Sangeet artist Mita Haque died after being attacked by Corona

Entertainment desk: The country's famous Rabindra Sangeet artist Mita Haque has died after being infected with the coronavirus. He (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun) died at a hospital in the capital on Sunday (April 11) at 8.20am. He was 59 years old at the time of his death. Mita Haque's son-in-law actor Mostafiz Shaheen has confirmed the matter to the media. He also wrote on social media Facebook- ‘Mita Haque left at 8.20 in the morning.

Everyone will love and pray. ' It is learned that on March 25, Mita Haque's corona positive report came. From then on, he was in isolation at home. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital on March 31.

He was taken home last Friday (April 9) after recovering from treatment there. He had a heart attack the next morning (Saturday, April 10). He was later admitted to the hospital again. He died Sunday morning while undergoing treatment there. Mita Haque also suffered from kidney disease for about five years. Mita Haque was born in 1982 in Dhaka. He is a listed artist of the highest grade of Bangladesh Betar. So far, he has sung in about 200 Rabindra Sangeet.

He has released a total of 24 solo albums. Of these, 14 are from India and 10 from Bangladesh. He received the Shilpakala Padak in 2016. The Bangladesh government awarded him the Ekushey Padak in 2020 for his significant contribution to music. Mita Haque is the wife of late actor Khaled Khan.

Daughter Jayita is also a Rabindra Sangeet artist. His uncle is Wahidul Haque, a pioneer of the cultural movement in the country and a Rabindra researcher. Mita Haque first learned music from her uncle Wahidul Haque and later from Ustad Mohammad Hossain Khan and Sanjeeda Khatun. From 1976, he started learning songs from tabla player Mohammad Hossain Khan.

In 1990, Beauty Corner released Mita Haque's first Rabindra Sangeet album 'Amar Mon Mane Na'. He also has a song school called 'Suratirtha'. At one time he also served as the head of the Rabindra Sangeet department of Chayanat. He was also the vice-president of the Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan Parishad.
