News Desk: Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company has expressed regret that the gas supply in the capital will remain low till 12 noon on Thursday. They issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (March 24) night.

The statement said that due to the low supply of gas in the overall network of Titas affiliated areas, the required amount of gas is not being supplied to the surrounding areas including Dhaka city. Titas Gas Authority is apologizing to the customers for this. In this situation, the low pressure of the gas will prevail till 12 noon on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, there was no gas, when asked about the crisis, the managing director of Titas Gas, Engineer Ali Iqbal. "I can't say anything about the gas crisis," Nurullah said. Asked GTCL, they are our suppliers, give us some time. Let's see at noon then. Meanwhile, the residents of the capital have been in an extreme gas crisis for two days due to the leakage in the pipeline and the sudden reduction in supply.

Stoves did not burn in many houses. Ordinary people are crowding in hotels to buy food. Residents have not been able to get gas in a large part of the capital for two days. Even if there is a supply somewhere, the pressure is so low that it takes hours to cook a little rice. In this way, they are in a random condition in everything from breakfast to lunch. Being forced to go to hotels and restaurants, the crowd is growing there as well.

And there are allegations of increasing the price of food in this opportunity. The Titas gas pipeline was damaged during development work in Aminbazar, the first cause of the gas crisis in the capital since Tuesday morning. The situation did not return to normal in some areas even though gas was supplied to alternative pipelines this evening. Suddenly, a technical glitch at the summit's LNG terminal reduced the supply of gas to the national grid by 350 million cubic feet, exacerbating the crisis.
