International Desk: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan and his cabinet on Tuesday approved an ordinance on the speedy disposal of cases of rapists and sexual harassment of rapists through the use of chemicals.

According to an online report by Pakistan's Geo TV on Wednesday, the country's law ministry raised a draft anti-rape law at a cabinet meeting, which was passed unanimously, including by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

However, the government has not yet made an official announcement on the passage of a draft law on chemical castration of rapists.

Faizal Javed Khan, leader of Pakistan's ruling party, Imran Khan's Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), tweeted that a draft new law on anti-rape would be tabled in parliament soon.

The draft law has recommended some special measures for the safety of women as a matter of urgency. This includes recruiting more women in the police, prosecuting sexual harassment cases in fast track courts for speedy disposal, and providing adequate security for witnesses to rape cases.

According to Geo Television, Imran Khan said at the cabinet meeting, "The issue is very important. There should be no delay in this regard. Ensuring the safety of the citizens should be given priority.

Although some of the ministers demanded the public execution of the rapists, the Pakistani Prime Minister said, "Strict action should be taken by rendering the penis of the rapists useless by chemical application." It will be harder step by step. '

Imran Khan also said that women victims of rape will file cases without fear and the government will protect their safety and identity. But there is also controversy in Pakistan over the rape law.
