Great Independence and National Day celebrations on March 26 with due dignity in Tangail

Tangail Representative: Great Independence Day and National Day 2024 were celebrated on 26th March in Tangail with due dignity through various programs. 

At sunrise on Tuesday, March 26, organized by the Tangail district administration, cannons were fired and wreaths were placed in front of the District Commissioner's office and at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park and prayers and prayers were offered. Deputy Commissioner Md Kaycharul Islam laid wreath on behalf of the state. Besides, Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Kaiser, Muktijoddha Sangsad, local members of parliament, local public representatives, people from various professions including government and private departments offered wreaths on behalf of the district police. 

After that, wreaths were laid at the monument at Tangail Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park and prayers were offered by hoisting the flag along with the national anthem. 

Then at 8:30 in the morning, a gathering of students from various educational institutions, official hoisting of the national flag, singing of the national anthem, parade and display exhibition and prize distribution were held at Tangail Stadium.

At 11 o'clock, a reception and discussion meeting was held at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park for brave freedom fighter and martyr freedom fighter family members. 

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Tangail Md Kaycharul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Tangail Sadar Hasan bin Muhammad Ali gave a welcome speech in the discussion meeting.

Honorable Member of Parliament of Tangail Sadar-05 Constituency Chanwar Hossain was present as the distinguished guest. Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Qaiser, Tangail Municipality Mayor SM Sirajul Haque Alamgir, District Awami League Vice President and Hero Freedom Fighter Khandaker Ashrafuzzaman Smriti, Former District Commander Hero Mukti Jodha Md Fazlul Haque Bir Pratik, Former District Commander Hero Mukti Jodha were present as special guests. Khandkar Zahurul Haque Deputy, Former Deputy Commander Bir Muktijodha Abul Kalam Azad Bir Bikram, President of Tangail Press Club Advocate Zafar Ahmed and other officials. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions among the students on the occasion of the great Independence and National Day celebrations.
