Kurigram Correspondent: Police have arrested two smugglers with 661 pieces of Indian cloth in Bhurungamari of Kurigram.

According to the police, a vigilant team of the Bhurungamari police station arrested Abdul Hakim and Mofizul Haque of East Vothat village during the smuggling of 661 pieces of Indian cloth illegally brought from India to Bangladesh by evading customs duty from Sonatali Pukurpar area on Friday night. Meanwhile, two auto-rickshaws used for smuggling were seized.

Kurigram district police media spokesperson Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police) Md. Ruhul Amin said that a case has been registered against the arrested smugglers under the Special Founding Act at Bhurungamari police station.
