Md. Osman Gani, Benapole: The tri-annual elections of the Benapole Press Club of Jessore were held. Alhajj Mohsin Milon was elected unopposed as president, Alhajj Bakul Mahbub was elected as general secretary and Monirul Islam Moni was elected as organizing secretary. 5 candidates contested for 3 positions in this election in a joyful atmosphere on Saturday. There was no candidate for the post of President. There were 20 total voters in the election. Polling starts at 3 PM and ends by 5 PM. The election was conducted by Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Shahajan Sabuj and Election Commissioner Jamal Hossain. Bakul Mahbub was elected general secretary by getting 11 votes. His nearest rival was Rashedur Rahman Rashu who got 9 votes. On the other hand, Monirul Islam Moni got 13 votes for the post of organizing secretary. His nearest rival Muslim Uddin Pappu got 7 votes. Polling was held in a peaceful atmosphere. The elected representatives expressed their gratitude to all the voters.
