The main congregation at the National Eidgah at 8:30 am will be attended by the President and the Prime Minister

News Desk: The President and the Prime Minister will participate in the National Eid Jamaat to be held in the capital's main Eidgah Maidan on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, said Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Local Government.

Today (Thursday, March 19) while visiting the Eidgah Maidan in the morning, he said that the main Eid congregation will be held at 8:30 am. About 40,000 worshipers, including men and women, have been arranged to offer prayers in the congregation. He urged the worshipers to arrive at the Eidgah early. The state minister also said, 'Medical team will be kept ready to ensure emergency medical services at the Eidgah.'

‎Meanwhile, extensive preparations have been made around the Eid congregation at the National Eidgah Maidan in the capital. The administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation said that the necessary infrastructure and cleaning work at the Eidgah has already been completed.

Several levels of preparation have been taken with security measures. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner said, Eidgah and the entire area will be covered by CCTV and there is no security concern.

He requested the worshipers not to bring any items other than prayer mats and umbrellas. On the other hand, if the weather is unfavorable, the Eid congregation will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9 am as an alternative arrangement, said Dhaka Divisional Commissioner.
