New Committee Formed for Narail Press Club: Abdul Haque President, MM Mahabubur Rashid Lavlu General Secretary

Narail Correspondent: The bi-annual election (2025–2027) of the Narail Press Club has been completed. Advocate SM Abdul Haque has been elected as president, and MM Mahabubur Rashid Lavlu as general secretary. The Election Conducting Committee has announced a 21-member executive committee for the next two-year term.

Chairman of the Election Committee, Advocate SM Iqbal Hossain, stated that as the deadline for nomination withdrawal passed on Monday night, only one valid nomination was submitted for each post. As a result, all 21 candidates were declared elected unopposed.

According to the announcement, the newly elected committee includes: Adv. SM Abdul Haque (The News Today) as President; Adv. Azizul Islam (Ekattor TV), M. Munir Chowdhury (NTV), and Sultan Mahmud (BSS) as Vice Presidents; MM Mahabubur Rashid Lavlu (Bangla TV) as General Secretary; Mostafa Kamal (RTV) as Treasurer; Al Amin (Jaijaidin), Nandita Bose (DBC News), and Md. Imran Hossain (Ekhon TV) as Joint Secretaries; Zahir Thakur (ATN Bangla) as Organizing Secretary; Munshi Asadur Rahman (Independent TV) as Secretary of Sports and Cultural Affairs; Adv. Raju Ahmed Rajib (Ainbarta) as Law Secretary; Md. Nurunnabi (Dainik Dhaka, Dainik Bhorer Bani) as Office Secretary; and Executive Members – Adv. Md. Tarikuzzaman Litu (Bangla Vision), Adv. Alamgir Siddiqui (Dainik Ocean), Md. Hafizur Rahman (Narail Barta), Kartik Das (Dainik Bangla), Kazi Hafizur Rahman (Narail Kantho), Saiful Islam Tuhin (Channel 24), Rmeza Nazrul Islam (Machranga TV), and Khairul Arefin Rana (News 24).

Newly elected President Advocate SM Abdul Haque expressed his gratitude to all members of the Narail Press Club and everyone involved in the electoral process for ensuring a fair and smooth election. He shared his hope that the press club would play a stronger and more proactive role in national development and social progress in the days to come.
