Black flag procession in Noakhali demanding arrest and trial of the killers of journalist Muzakkir

Noakhali Correspondent: Noakhali media workers have staged a black flag procession demanding identification of the killers of journalist Muzakki and bringing them under the law and demanding exemplary punishment.

On Monday (March 1) at 11 am, a black flag procession came out from the premises of Noakhali Press Club. District media workers took part in a black flag procession demanding the immediate arrest and trial of the killers of journalist Muzakkir.

The procession came to an end in front of the Press Club after walking around the important road of Maijdi Bazar. Last Friday (February 19), a clash broke out between supporters of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader's younger brother Basurhat Municipality Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza and former Upazila Chairman and Upazila Awami League Organizing Secretary Mizanur Rahman Badal at Chaprashirhat East Bazar in Companiganj Upazila.

Seven people, including journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakkir, were shot dead in a three-way clash while filming the incident. Muzakkir later died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 10:44 pm on Saturday (February 20).
