Human chain demanding justice for the murder of journalist Muzakki in Kushtia

Kushtia Correspondent: A human chain has been held to protest the murder of journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakki, who was shot dead by assassins, to arrest the culprits and demand exemplary punishment. Leaders of various journalists, social and cultural organizations took part in the protest rally at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Kushtia Press Club premises under the chairmanship of veteran journalist Khademul Islam.

Speakers said the protesters were shot in the neck, head and other parts of the body while performing their professional duties of filming and reporting on the clash between the ruling political parties in Noakhali's Kompaniganj. They were rushed to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital. From there he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment at night. There Journalist Muzakki died while undergoing treatment. Human rights and media activist Hasan Ali, who was killed in a bullet-riddled killing of journalist Muzakki, should be brought to justice.
