Conspiracy to disrupt BNP rallies: Quader

News Desk: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has termed the BNP's rally as a conspiracy to destroy the peaceful environment of the country. He said the Awami League would deal politically with any attempt to destroy the existing stable situation in the country in the name of political program.

Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his official residence on Friday (February 5th) afternoon. Mentioning that there is no situation or issue in the country that BNP has to agitate, Obaidul Quader said, Awami League welcomes any peaceful program. But if violence is created in the name of assembly, it will be suppressed with the strong hand of the people. Obaidul Quader thinks that the BNP has forgotten the welfare of the country and the nation and has chosen the path of various propaganda and conspiracies as a political strategy.

On the one hand, they have invested in propaganda and on the other hand, they are demanding explanation. Noting that the BNP has resorted to propaganda against the government by appointing lobbyists by spending crores of rupees, the bridge minister also called upon the BNP to do politics for the people by avoiding anti-politics. Addressing the BNP leaders, he said, "There is no chance of changing the government in a democratic system without elections, so leave the path of conspiracy and do politics for the welfare of the people." Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader thinks that the people will not be confused by the false propaganda of Al Jazeera, the people are enjoying the benefits of Sheikh Hasina's development politics as opposed to the propaganda.

Obaidul Quader also said that the BNP is now conspiring with its allies on foreign soil to question the clear and strict stance of Sheikh Hasina's government against irregularities. He said that no one who commits misdeeds can be Sheikh Hasina's people. He has no indulgence. Referring to the Bangabandhu family as a symbol of honesty in the last 50 years in the politics of this country, Obaidul Quader said, therefore Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina did not take herself hostage in any syndicate.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, March 26, and the golden jubilee of the War of Liberation, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced that all branches of Awami League will hold rallies and public relations programs from February 15 at all metropolitan, district, upazila, thana, union and ward levels. In this regard, the leaders in charge of the department will coordinate the programs of their respective departments.
