A 19-month-old baby was rescued from Comilla in an 11-hour suffocation operation

News Desk: A specialized team of Comilla district police has rescued 19-month-old Raisa, who was stolen from Comilla in an 11-hour suffocation operation. This information was given in a press release of the police headquarters on Tuesday (February 2).

At around 8:30 am on Thursday (January 26), Comilla's Titas police received a report that unidentified persons had cut off two mobile phones and a 19-month-old child from a house in Ulukandi village in Titas. According to local sources, Jannat Akhter, 25, lived with his 19-month-old daughter Raisa in Ulukandi village in Titas.

Her husband said. Halim has been in exile for a long time. The night before the incident, Jannat Akhter was sleeping in his room with Raisa as usual. Then around 4:30 pm he went to the toilet outside the house. When he returned, he found her not in bed.

He can't even be found anywhere in the house. At that time he saw that one side of the house was cut. Jannat Akhter immediately realized that his beloved child had been stolen. He lost his way for fear of the child's potential danger. After a while, the criminals demanded a large sum of money to return the stolen child.

From then on, they started calling the victim's mother and uncle for money. After receiving the news of the incident, the Titas police rushed to the field to rescue the stolen child in a healthy condition.

At the same time, a specialized team of Comilla district police led by the concerned circle officer joined. The concerned police members were dealing with the whole matter very cautiously during the operation.

Their main objective was to rescue the child without any harm by keeping their identities secret. The rescue operation continues with the help of information technology to determine the movement and location of the criminals as well as using various police tactics.

Finally, on Monday (February 1) at 7.45 pm, a man was arrested along with rescuing the child from a char in Balrampur under Titas police station. But by then the child's physical condition had become extremely fragile in the severe winter. So he was rushed to Titas Upazila Health Complex for necessary treatment.

After a while, when the child's physical condition returned to normal, he was placed on his mother's lap. A case has been registered in this regard at Titas police station and the arrested accused has been sent to court. Efforts to arrest other accused involved in the incident are ongoing, the statement said.
