Munshiganj: A young man was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping an eight-year-old child

Munshiganj: Mohsin Mia, 32, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping an eight-year-old child in Munshiganj by a court of the District Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal.

Wednesday (January 26) at noon, the court judge said. Zakir Hossain pronounced the verdict in the presence of the accused in a crowded court. The accused Mohsin was also fined Tk 50,000 by Mohsin Sadar Upazila's son Aftab Ali. According to the case sources, Mohsin raped an eight-year-old child on the morning of November 29, 2016 in Firingibazar area of ​​Sadar upazila on his way home from his mother working in a factory.

The next day, the child's father filed a case under the Munshiganj Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act at the Sadar Police Station. Later, the police arrested the rapist Mohsin and sent him to jail. After the verdict was announced, the accused was sent to Munshiganj District Jail.
