News Desk: Fraudsters have hacked the development number of The Smart Telecom of development agent Mohammad Safiqul Islam of Sahapur Bazar in Chatkhil of Noakhali district and swindled Tk 3.43 lakh.

After a complaint was lodged with the Chatkhil police station, the police conducted a raid and arrested three members of the fraudsters from Chittagong metropolis on Wednesday night. The arrested are Khokon, Iqbal and Jamal of Bhola district of Chandgaon police station in Chittagong. Police sent them to court custody on Monday.

Police officer-in-charge Anwarul Islam said two of the arrested had confessed to the court and police were conducting operations to nab other fraudsters according to their confessions.
