Funeral of journalist Mizanur Rahman Khan was held

News Desk: Prominent journalist and joint editor of Prothom Alo Mizanur Rahman Khan's first janaza was held at the Supreme Court premises. Then the second janaza was held at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and the third janaza was held at the National Press Club. Mizanur Rahman Khan's first janaza was held at the premises of the Supreme Court Bar Association (Supreme Court Bar) on Tuesday (January 12) at 10:15 am. Then the third janaza was held at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) at 11 am and at the National Press Club at 12 noon.

Judges, lawyers and journalists took part in the janaza at the Supreme Court. Besides, journalists participated in other janazas. After the janaza, Mizanur Rahman Khan was felicitated by the Supreme Court Bar and the Law Reporters Forum (LRF), the apex body of journalists on law, court and constitution. Supreme Court Justice M. After the Janaza, Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal Phulel on behalf of the Supreme Court Bar Association paid homage to Mizanur Rahman Rahman Khan's body and on behalf of the Law Reporters Forum, President of the organization Mashudul Haque and General Secretary Mohammad Yasin Ful paid their respects. Mizanur Rahman Khan's younger brother Mashiur Rahman Khan said his brother's janaza was later held at the premises of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and National Press Club. Mizanur Rahman Khan's body was taken in front of Prothom Alo office at Karwan Bazar after Janaza at the premises of National Press Club. Mizanur Rahman Khan will be buried at the Martyred Intellectual Cemetery in the capital's Mirpur.

Taking part in the janaza of the press club, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud said that the dream of Mizanur Rahman Khan about his children should come true. We will help through the government's welfare trust. Farida Yasmin, President of the Press Club, said, “Mizanur Rahman Khan was my colleague in the daily Muktakanthe two decades ago. His smile was very amiable. He was not just a journalist. He was also a researcher. He is also researching the conspiracy to assassinate Bangabandhu. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "I had a personal closeness with Mizanur Rahman Khan." Mizanur Rahman Khan is a shining star of journalism. We have seen him do honest, fearless journalism.

Has done objective journalism, never succumbed to pressure. I wish peace to the soul of Mizanur Rahman Khan. Mizanur Rahman's brothers Siddiqur Rahman Khan and Mashiur Rahman Khan and Anisul Haque from Prothom Alo were present on behalf of the family. Mizanur Rahman Khan, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital, died on Monday (January 11th) evening. He was 53 years old. He is survived by his mother, wife, three children, five brothers, three sisters and numerous relatives and admirers. Mizanur Rahman Khan was infected with coronavirus.

Corona's positive report came on December 2 in his sample test. He was admitted to Public Health City Hospital on 5 December. He was admitted to Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali on December 10. There he was treated in an intensive care unit. He was taken to life support last Saturday afternoon after his condition deteriorated. The doctor on duty declared him dead at 6:05 pm yesterday. People of different classes and professions, organizations and political parties have expressed deep grief over the death of Mizanur Rahman Khan. Countless people are mourning on social media. Mizanur Rahman Khan was a pioneer in the field of law, constitution writing and journalism for three long decades.

His published books include the Constitution and the caretaker government debate, the nature of the political crisis in Bangladesh, the 1971 secret US documents and the assassination of Mujib in US documents. Journalist Mizanur Rahman Khan was born on 31 October 1968 in Nalchiti, Jhalokati, Barisal Division. He obtained his master's degree in accounting from Brajmohan (BM) College, Barisal in 1986. Mizanur Rahman Khan, a long-time journalist, was Jugantar's special correspondent and assistant editor from 1999 to 2004. He then joined as contemporary deputy editor. He joined Prothom Alo on November 1, 2005.
