In Chuadanga, 19 kg of cannabis was recovered by the Narcotics Control Department

Chuadanga Correspondent: Cannabis has been recovered in a raid by the Narcotics Control Department in Chuadanga. Chuadanga 19 kg of cannabis was recovered from Shaheen's house in Kazi Para of Hanurbaradi village in Chuadanga Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The recovered cannabis has been handed over to Chuadanga Sadar Police Station. It is learned that around 10:30 am on Monday, Assistant Director of Chuadanga District Narcotics Control Department Shariat Ullah, Inspector Abdullah Al Mamun, Sub-Inspector Abul Kalam Azad and Assistant Sub-Inspector Akbar Hossain accompanied by force raided the house of Chahar Shahin, son of Anshar Ali of Hanurbaradi Kazipara in Sadar Upazila. At that time, the members of the Narcotics Control Department sensed their presence and fled.

Later, they searched his house and recovered 19 kg of cannabis. The estimated value of the recovered cannabis is 5 lakh 60 thousand rupees. Shariat Ullah, assistant director of the Chuadanga Narcotics Control Department, said the raid was carried out at the house of Shaheen, a drug dealer in Hanurbaradi village, on a tip-off.

The recovered cannabis along with a regular case against the fugitive accused Shaheen has been handed over to the Sadar Police Station. Our operation to arrest the accused Shaheen is continuing.
