Awami League's program on Sheikh Hasina's 74th birthday

Awami League will celebrate the 74th birthday of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, the eldest daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the most successful statesman in the history of independent Bangladesh after '75, through various programs with due dignity.

As part of the central program, a discussion meeting will be held at Krishibid Institute auditorium on Monday, September 26 at 3 pm at the initiative of Awami League.

The discussion will be chaired by Awami League President-Lee Member and Deputy Leader of Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury MP. National leaders will speak on the occasion. Besides, prayers and milad mahfil will be held on September 26 at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram after Johar and in all mosques of the country.

Meanwhile, International Buddhist Monastery (Merul Badda) will be held at 9 am, Christian Association Bangladesh (CAB) Mirpur Baptist Church (29 Senpara, Parbata, Mirpur-10) at 10 am, Tekgaon Jakmala Rani Church at 8 am and special prayers will be held at Dhakeswari Temple at 11 am.

Central leaders of Awami League will be present in these programs. On the same day, all the allied organizations across the country including Dhaka will observe all the programs including discussion meetings, prayer mahfils, special prayers and photo exhibitions in accordance with the appropriate health care rules.

On the occasion of Sheikh Hasina's 74th birthday, he appealed to all levels of leaders, activists, supporters and well-wishers of allied organizations, social and cultural organizations and organizations to hold milad and doa mahfil in all mosques and special prayer meetings in all religious places. At the same time, he requested the leaders of all branches of Awami League including districts, metropolises, upazilas, municipalities, unions and wards to observe the day by adopting similar programs in accordance with the appropriate health care rules in line with the central program.

Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, was born on 26 September 1947 in the village of Tungipara in Gopalganj district where the Madhumati River flows. Mother's name is Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib. He is the first child of the parents. He spent his childhood and adolescence in the traditional rural environment of Bengalis in Tungipara on the banks of the river, in the lap of his grandparents.

His father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was his constant companion in prison, resentment and jail-tyranny. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's life was spent day and night with political movement and politics. It is rare to see a father engaged in the liberation movement of Bengalis. Sheikh Hasina was the eldest of five siblings.

His younger siblings are Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, Sheikh Rehana and Sheikh Russell. Sheikh Hasina has grown up with the dust of rural Bengal and the common people. So his close relationship with the village. Sheikh Hasina's education began in a school in Tungipara.
