News Desk: Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said to the BNP, "There is no record of winning the next election if the movement fails in the politics of Bangladesh.

" The people have rejected the BNP because of its negative politics and its alliance with communal groups. Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a meeting to review the progress of the first and second projects under the South Asia Sub-Regional Economic Co-operation Sasek today. The Minister of Road Transport and Bridges joined the meeting via video conference from his official residence. Asked about the activities of the parliament, the BNP general secretary said the strong opposition party is very important in the development of parliamentary politics and democracy.

Quader also said that the BNP was pressuring the government, the election system, the Election Commission and the parliament to cover up their failures. Obaidul Quader said that the BNP MPs are getting the opportunity to speak in the parliament regularly, as the members of the ruling party are not getting the opportunity to speak in the parliament every day. Obaidul Quader said those in charge of ongoing projects in the country have to work from their respective positions. With the exception of this, strict action will be taken.
