News Desk: A bunch of apps have been banned in India again. Now on that list is Pubji, WeChat. A total of 11 apps have been banned. The list has already been released by the Minister of Information and Technology.
These apps have been claimed to be undermining India's sovereignty. It has the Baidu app, which is quite popular. There is also Camcard, Super Clean, Ludo World.
Earlier, 47 apps were banned after the Sino-Indian conflict in Galway. Among them were popular Chinese apps like Hello, TickTock, Beauty Plus. India alleged that data was being sent to Chinese servers through those apps.
The central government has banned a bunch of Chinese apps twice in a row. 59 apps were banned in the first phase and 48 in the next phase. At the height of the Indo-China conflict in Ladakh, at the end of June, the Center announced the cancellation of 59 Chinese apps overnight on June 29.
After the Indo-China conflict, the Modi government banned 59 Chinese apps in one fell swoop. The Center had alleged that these 59 apps were stealing information from users in India. These apps secretly monitor usernames, addresses, social media posts, and other important information.
