Global death toll of Covid-19 climbs to 747,258

CNI Desk: A total of  747,258 people died from coronavirus worldwide in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in Wuhan of China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 20,806,968 coronavirus cases have been detected at 10:30 am till Thursday (04:30 GMT). Of them, 13,706,688 patients have been considered recovered, the source said.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 6,353,019.

With the new tally in the 24-hour, 1,331 patients died from coronavirus while 284,777 patients have tested positive, and 264,775  patients have made fully recovery.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 169,131 deaths, followed by Brazil with 104,263, Mexico 54,666, India 47,138, Italy 35,225 and France 30,371 respectively, worldometer reported.
