Kolkata airport is submerged due to heavy rain

International Desk: There has been heavy rain in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, India. This has caused waterlogging in various parts of Kolkata. Apart from this, rainwater has accumulated at the city's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport. However, the Indian media NDTV said that there was no disruption in air traffic. Videos published on social media showed that Kolkata airport's runway and taxiway were submerged in torrential water.

Apart from Kolkata, neighboring Howrah, Salt Lake and Barrackpore also received heavy rainfall. After a depression develops into a deep depression, heavy rainfall begins. According to Met Office data, the deep depression is now moving towards Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Due to this, heavy rainfall is occurring in various parts of West Bengal. Apart from Kolkata, various parts of India have been receiving rains for the past few days. Especially in Delhi, due to rains, there has been widespread waterlogging.

Last week, three students tragically died after water entered the basement of a coaching center in Delhi. Then common people protested there. India Meteorological Department has issued warning signals in various parts of the country. It said heavy to very heavy rains may occur at different places.
