International Desk: Türkiye has imposed restrictions on the export of goods to Israel. The move will also be effective in the case of steel and jet fuel exports. The ban will remain in place until a cease-fire is implemented in Gaza, it said. The Ministry of Commerce of Turkey reported this information. This is Turkey's biggest move against Israel in six months. The war between Israel and Hamas started on October 7. After that, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan severely criticized Israel.

At the same time, the country has been demanding a ceasefire. Türkiye has also sent thousands of tons of aid to Gaza. However, despite the continued bombing and killing of Palestinians in Gaza, Turkey maintains commercial relations with Israel. But this time, Ankara withdrew from there and imposed a trade ban on Israel. Ankara said in a statement that the ban will come into effect on Tuesday (April 9). Ban has been imposed on the export of 54 products of different categories. The ban will remain in place until a ceasefire is declared in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel has been affected by Turkey's actions. It has been said that Türkiye has unilaterally violated the trade agreement. In this regard, Tel Aviv administration has also announced to take appropriate action.
