14 more dengue deaths in last 24 hours, 2865 in hospital

Health Desk: 14 more people have died across the country in the last 24 hours due to dengue fever carried by Aedes mosquitoes. This has increased the number of dengue deaths in the country this year to 893. In addition, 2 thousand 865 people were newly admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of infected people in the country this year has increased to 1 lakh 84 thousand 717 people. This information was informed in the dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (September 23).

It is said in the circular that currently a total of 10 thousand 572 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 3,794 dengue patients in Dhaka's public and private hospitals and 6,778 dengue patients in other hospitals.

This year, 1 lakh 84 thousand 717 patients have been admitted to hospitals and received treatment for dengue throughout the country. Out of this, 78 thousand 103 people were treated in Dhaka and 1 lakh 6 thousand 614 people outside Dhaka. Among the affected, 1 lakh 73 thousand 252 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. 73 thousand 713 in Dhaka and 99 thousand 539 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
