In the last 24 hours, 20 more people died of dengue, 2689 were hospitalized

Health Desk: 20 more people have died across the country in the last 24 hours due to dengue fever carried by Aedes mosquitoes. This has increased the number of dengue deaths in the country this year to 691. In addition, two thousand 689 people were newly admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of infected people in the country this year has increased to 140 thousand 711 people. This information was informed in the dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Thursday (September 7).

It is said in the notification that at present, a total of 9 thousand 711 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 4 thousand 151 dengue patients admitted in public and private hospitals of Dhaka and 5 thousand 560 dengue patients in various hospitals of other departments.

This year, 1 lakh 40 thousand 711 patients infected with dengue have been admitted and treated in hospitals across the country. Among them, 64 thousand 172 people received treatment in Dhaka and 76 thousand 539 people outside Dhaka. 1 lakh 30 thousand 309 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. 59 thousand 524 in Dhaka and 70 thousand 785 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
