12 more dengue deaths, 2823 hospitalizations in last 24 hours

Health Desk: 12 more people have died across the country in the last 24 hours due to dengue fever carried by Aedes mosquitoes. This has increased the number of dengue deaths in the country this year to 646. Besides, 2 thousand 823 people were newly admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of infected people in the country this year has increased to 133,134. This information was informed in the Dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Monday (September 4).

It is said in the notification that at present, a total of 9 thousand 69 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 4 thousand 52 dengue patients admitted in public and private hospitals of Dhaka and 5 thousand 17 dengue patients in various hospitals of other departments.

This year, 1 lakh 33 thousand 134 patients have been admitted and treated in hospitals across the country due to dengue. Among them, 61 thousand 489 people have received treatment in Dhaka and 71 thousand 645 people outside Dhaka. Among the infected, 1 lakh 23 thousand 419 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. 56 thousand 969 people in Dhaka and 66 thousand 450 people outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
