School feeding program is being launched in 150 upazilas of the country

News Desk: Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed said that the school feeding program will be started in 150 upazilas of the country as soon as possible. Through this, a new horizon will be opened in the field of primary education. Which will form the basis of building a developed and prosperous Bangladesh. He said, this time children will be served nutritious biscuits as well as different kinds of food; Which will be attractive to the child.

These foods will play a special role in meeting the needs of the child and building the body. He spoke at the National Dissemination Workshop to analyze the Findings & Factors of the National Student Assessment 2022 organized by the Department of Primary Education at a hotel in the tourist city of Cox's Bazar on Saturday (August 19). Primary and Mass Education Secretary said, by starting school feeding program, dropout in primary education will be prevented, school enrollment will increase. Which will reflect the government's commitment to ensure quality primary education.

The workshop was chaired by Director of Primary Education Shah Rizwan Hayat, Additional Director General of Primary Education Dilip Kumar Vanik, UNICEF Country Representative Sheldon Yett, Education Adviser of British High Commission Mohammad Gholam Kibria, Director of Primary Education Shaheenur Shaheen Khan and others spoke in the workshop.

Incidentally, the National Student Assessment is very important for primary education. Through this, the overall picture of the field level of primary education emerges. Students' learning skills, deficits, weaknesses, needs, teachers' qualifications, skills, sincerity, school admissions, dropouts, parents' mentality etc. are reflected in this assessment.
