Anti-narcotics operation in the capital, 53 arrests

News Desk: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 53 people for the crime of selling and consuming drugs in the capital city. They were arrested by conducting raids in various police stations of the capital from 6 am on Wednesday (2 August) to 6 am on Thursday (3 August).

Media and Public Relations Department of DMP Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC). Farooq Hossain said that 87 thousand 188 pieces of yaba, three kilograms of 150 grams of ganja, 110 grams of heroin, 22 liters of domestic liquor and 25 bottles of foreign liquor were seized from the accused.

He said that 35 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed against the accused at the DMP police station.
