International Desk: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has extended the bail of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan till June 2. The court on Wednesday increased his interim bail in the case to settle the £190m settlement. On the other hand, the court extended the bail application period of the former prime minister by 10 days in a separate case related to violation of Article 144.

Pakistani media Geo News reported this on Wednesday. It said he had earlier accompanied his wife Bushra Bibi to an accountability court inside the Federal Judicial Complex to extend his bail in the same case. The court disposed of the first lady's plea to Saab and allowed her to leave.

Earlier on May 9, Pakistan's paramilitary Rangers arrested Imran Khan in that case. He was arrested from the IHC premises, triggering violent protests across the country. He was later released on bail after spending three days in jail.
