Results of 133 centers in Gazipur: Azmat 58025, Zayeda 68800

News Desk: Out of 480 centers of 57 wards of Gazipur City Corporation, the results of 133 centers have been received. So far, BanglaNews24 has received the results of some centers declared by the returning officer Faridul Islam. According to the declared results, Azmat Ullah Khan, the candidate of Boat, got 58 thousand 025 votes in the centers.

His rival Zayeda Khatun, an independent candidate of the 'Table Clock' marker, got 68,800 votes. The results of other candidates are known as - Atiqul Islam (Mach Marka) got 1221 votes; MM Niaz Uddin (Plough) 839; Gazi Ataur Rahman (Hatpakha) 2764; Md. Raju Ahmed (Rose) 409; Md. Haroon-ur-Rashid (Horse) got 136 and Sarkar Shahnoor Islam (Elephant) got 1301 votes. Returning Officer Faridul Islam started to announce the results of Gasik election on Thursday (May 25) evening after taking the votes.

He will announce the results of 480 centers consecutively. According to the sources of the Returning Officer office, the total number of voters in Gazipur City Corporation is 11 lakh 79 thousand 463 people. Among them 5 lakh 92 thousand 747 male voters, 5 lakh 86 thousand 698 female voters and 18 transgender voters.

In this election, 480 polling stations in 57 wards voted in 3 thousand 497 polling booths. A total of 333 candidates are contesting in the elections, including 8 candidates for the post of mayor, 79 candidates for the post of councilor of reserved seat and 246 for the post of councilor of general seat.
