Panchagarh Correspondent: In Tentulia Upazila of Panchagarh, a passenger bus called Four Sisters fell into a tea garden and overturned, injuring about 12 passengers including the driver.
The accident took place on the Tentulia-Panchagarh highway near Majhipara Guchch village of Shalbahan Union of Tentulia upazila on Tuesday (May 23) afternoon. The injured were quickly rescued with the help of the police by calling 999.
According to local sources, sudden gusty wind and rain started falling in Tentulia in the afternoon. Meanwhile, when a passenger bus from Panchagarh to Tentulia reached the spot, it lost control and fell into a nearby tea garden and overturned. Locals rushed to the emergency phone service 999 and helped rescue the injured along with the police. However, many went to nearby markets for first aid, but about 12 seriously injured people were admitted to Tentulia Upazila Health Complex and Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Tentulia Highway Police Station Farhad Alam confirmed the injured in the accident.
