International Desk: Turkish defense giant Rocketsan has successfully tested a new ballistic missile. A short-range ballistic missile named Typhoon was successfully test-fired on Tuesday.
Turkey's state news agency Anadolu reported this in a report on Tuesday. Turkish missile manufacturer Rocketsan successfully test-launched the Typhoon short-range ballistic missile in the country's Black Sea Ridge province on Tuesday, it said.
According to reports, Ismail Demir, head of the Turkish Defense Presidency, confirmed the matter and congratulated all those involved in the project. The report also said that the Typhoon is Turkey's longest-range missile so far. Earlier in October 2022, Rocketsun successfully test-fired another missile. Which is capable of hitting targets 560 kilometers or about 348 miles away.
