Human chain in Faridpur demanding execution of rapist

Faridpur, Correspondent: Residents of Faridpur formed a human chain to demand the hanging of a rapist in Boalmari. The program was celebrated on a road in Gobindpur village of Ghoshpur union of the upazila on Monday. Local women UP members Sabina Begum, Md Mamun Mia, Enamul Sheikh, Bashar Sheikh, Aliyar Sheikh and others spoke in the human chain demanding the hanging of accused accused Amjad Sheikh. Speakers in the human chain said that Ansar member Amjad Sheikh (23), son of Md. Sam Sheikh of Gobindpur village, is a deceitful and lustful person.

Lured by the temptation of marriage, he develops first love and then physical relationship with a neighboring school student. When this long-standing relationship became known at some point, the girl and her guardians put pressure on Amjad for marriage. But when Amjad and his family denied everything and rejected the marriage proposal, the victim's father, Enamul Sheikh, resorted to law. On January 25, when a case was registered at the police station, the police arrested the accused and handed him over to the court. But after 15/16 days of imprisonment, the rapist Amjad was released on bail and started torturing the plaintiff in various ways.

The speaker also said that the influential defendants are currently putting pressure on the plaintiff Enamul Sheikh to withdraw the case. Various threats and intimidation are being shown. It is said that if the case is not withdrawn, the plaintiff Enamul Sheikh will be removed from the world. Or will be framed in a false case. Enamul Sheikh, a helpless poor farmer, is suffering from extreme insecurity with his family due to such torture and threats on the part of the accused.
