News Desk: Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP wants a biased caretaker government. Who will put BNP in power. Awami League does not want such a caretaker government. Don't want to resurrect a dead issue called supervisor. He said these things in a briefing after the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) board meeting at Banani's Setu Bhaban on Sunday (May 7) afternoon. He said the unusual caretaker government was in power for two years talking about 3 months. We did not want this caretaker government. People didn't want it. Then they selected the leaders and workers of our party and attacked them.

The bridge minister said that elections will be held according to the country's constitution. The government we have will do routine work at that time. But can not take major decision. The ministries-departments which are involved in the elections will be under the Election Commission. Obaidul Quader said that the government has passed a law for the Election Commission to make it an independent and impartial organization. The election commission is very independent during the Sheikh Hasina government. Pointing out that the Election Commission will gradually become error-free, Kader said that this process of forming an Independent Election Commission is very democratic. Will become more perfect (purified) with time, free from defects. He said that the feature of caretaker government in the political history of our country was destroyed in 2007. The unusual caretaker government was in power for two years, talking about 3 months. Such a caretaker government was not desirable.

People did not want it then. On May 7, 2007 - On this day Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's arrest, Quader said, the then government opposition leader and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina was arrested at One Eleven. He should not be able to come (from abroad) by filing a case at Paltan police station and creating obstacles on the way. Hulia is also issued with cases. This was done to prevent the leader from coming. Sheikh Hasina did not back down and said that, regarding the sale of air tickets, it was said that Bangladesh-bound air tickets should not be given. He came back bravely. He didn't back down.
