Newsdesk: On April 30, Ambassador IWAMA attended the 22nd Curry Festival & Bangladesh Boishakhi Mela in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

H.E. Mr. Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, and officials from Japan Bangladesh Society and Toshima city, which are the co-organizers of the festival, also attended the festival.

In his address, Ambassador IWAMA celebrated the success of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Japan and expressed his commitment to further enhancing the bilateral relationship, which has been elevated to a strategic partnership.

In the festival, Bangladeshis residing in Japan did some performance including Bengal songs and dances. Booths serving Bangladeshi curry were set as well as booths selling Bangladeshi goods. The festival was a great success with a lot of visitors.
